Our History

Based in the heart of Manchester, MCR MET Racing has a long and proud history of designing and building race cars for the world-renowned Formula Student competition.

Founded in 2007, we started as a small team with a big ambition, to push the boundaries of student engineering. Over the years, we have grown into a dedicated, multidisciplinary team, competing annually at Formula Student UK and previously representing our university at international events such as Formula Student Netherlands.

Just like the city we call home, our team thrives on innovation, resilience, and a passion for engineering. Every year, we challenge ourselves to refine our designs, enhance our manufacturing techniques, and improve our on-track performance.

From humble beginnings to competing on an international stage, MCR MET Racing is committed to engineering excellence, teamwork, and pushing the limits of performance.
